Bullied teen busted with gun at school

A 13-year-old boy was caught with a gun at a Bronx school Thursday morning — after telling a friend he needed it because he was being bullied, law-enforcement sources told The Post.

The unidentified teen was busted for allegedly possessing the unloaded, .22-caliber handgun inside the Bronx Green Middle School in the borough’s Allerton section, sources said.

The school isn’t equipped with metal detectors, sources said.

Cops learned about the weapon because the teen let a pal know he had it for protection, and the friend alerted an adult, sources said.

The arrest came little more than a week after a two teens were stabbed — one fatally — inside a Bronx high school about two miles away.

Matthew McCree, 15, was killed when Abel Cedeno, 18, allegedly plunged a three-inch switchblade into his chest inside the Urban Assembly School for Wildlife Conservation on Sept. 27.

McCree’s pal, Ariane LaBoy, 16, was also stabbed in the chest but survived the injury.

In a jailhouse interview afterward, Cedeno said he “snapped” after years of being bulled because he’s bisexual.

He’s charged with murder and related crimes.

School officials installed metal detectors at Urban Assembly following the deadly classroom attack.
