Unions Urge Members to Demand Changes to Prescription Drug Law
In letters to Senators Schumer and Clinton, the Central Labor Council has urged the legislators to vote in support of amendments to prescription drug legislation that would remove the part of the bill that discriminates against retirees with employer-provided coverage.
CLC Secretary Jacobsen noted that “such a proposal will take prescription drug coverage away from 4.4 million retirees who have it today.”
Active members and retirees should contact their representatives in Washington by phone, fax or e-mail and ask them to support the amendment.
