Are You A Working Mother?

Speak Out: Fill Out the Working Woman Survey

Working women know the pressures of balancing work and family, the difficulties of making ends meet and the challenges of getting ahead. We make tough choices every day:

  • A new muffler or the electric bill.
  • A sick child or a demanding boss.
  • A parent-teacher conference or a pink slip.

Now's your chance to be heard.

Sound off about your priorities for change by logging on to AFL-CIO website (www.aflcio.org) and filling out the 2004 Ask a Working Woman Survey.

Whether your top concern is equal pay or flexible hours, child care or elder care, training for a new job or respect for the one you do now, one thing is certain: Working women agree that it's more effective working together to make changes on the job than trying to go it alone.

That's why the AFL-CIO is working with women's, civil rights, community and religious organizations to bring into focus what needs to be changed and make it happen.
