Local 237 has filed an Improper Practice Petition with the NYC Office of Collective Bargaining. Public Advocate Williams office does not employ any Local 237 members, yet he has undertaken a misguided crusade to fundamentally change the job duties and other terms and conditions of employment of 5,000 Local 237 School Safety Agents He has repeatedly bypassed union leadership and made proposals directly to workers. The union is calling on Jumaane Williams to cease violating labor law.
