A former "Sand Hog" for 17 years, Abbate has been a member for almost 10 years. He attends union meetings regularly and continues his membership in two other unions. Abbate says a union is the most important organization to belong to in life, and is the only way to enter the middle class. He enjoys cooking Italian food and traveling with his wife, Therese.

A 22 year veteran of School Food Services, Sorrento has been a supervisor for 7 years.  She attends union meetings on a regular basis and values the security and benefits that membership provides. She enjoys working with children and has three of her own with husband, Sal.

Vaccaro has been a member for more than 19 years, and has served as a shop steward, a chapter chair, and a union liaison for the past 6 years. He likes working outside and takes pride in keeping lawns, playing fields and school roads clean and safe for the schoolchildren. A baseball coach and volunteer fireman for the past 32 years, Vacarro has two teenage sons.

A member since 1999, Delli-Bovi rose through the ranks from a maintenance trainee and caretaker to superintendent in 2012. He attends union meetings and says "It is good to know that the union is always there" for him. Delli-Bovi enjoys helping housing residents resolve apartment problems. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his two daughters, his parents and his brother. A baseball player in college, Delli-Bovi likes going to games and roots for the Yankees.
